The Willows Restaurant
Keri Endo, catering director
What is the unique history about The Willows?
The area of our property was the actual home of the Hausten family (we are located on Hausten Street). At this home, many of the Hawaiian royalty celebrated elaborate occasions and parties with their friends. In the early 1940's, the home was transformed into a restaurant, and later closed for business in 1990. Then in 1999, our current owners, GDK Inc, decided to re-open the doors in hopes of bringing back the nostalgia of old Hawaii and food with an old-fashioned Hawaiian taste!
What is your favorite thing on The Willows menu?
Well, if I had to only pick ONE, it would be the chicken long rice! I can eat that every day and never get tired of it!
What is one thing that most people don't know about The Willows?
That we actually have a beautiful wedding chapel on the property, where you can have your wedding ceremony. Our brides love the convenience of having the ceremony and reception at the same location.
Where is the best picture-taking spot on your property for weddings?
I think the nicest wedding pictures are taken on this cute island that we have in the middle of our pond that has a waterfall in the background and surrounded by our lush green landscape.
What is your favorite wedding color combination?
Cherry blossom pink and chocolate brown!
