Teen Night, January 2012
Eden In Love and The Wedding Cafe teamed up with Kapiolani Hospital Pediatric Oncology Department in January for a complete head-to-toe styling session for a very special group of ladies. Nine teenagers who are all battling some form of cancer were selected by their nurses for a special night. Eden In Love stylists were given the powerful opportunity to make a big difference in a small way. For two hours, they had the honor of bringing joy and girlish delight to these teenage girls who were fighting for their life.
Partnering with one of these sweet heroes, each staff member was able to style their new friend, head-to-toe with threads and accessories from Eden In Love. From discovering their favorite colors to describing their personal style, the stylists helped each girl find an outfit and accessories they loved. It was amazing to see how much a new outfit brought confidence, attitude and happiness to each girl. In addition to their sassy new outfits, wedding vendors contributed their time and talents to make the night unforgettable. With two talented makeup artists and two professional photographers, the girls got dolled up and got to model their new look on camera with their families and new stylist friends! In front of the camera, each smile got a little brighter, poses got a little sassier and all their problems were erased for that night. The laughter, smiles (and tears!) were contagious. Hospice Hawaii, December 2011
During the month of December, The Wedding Cafe and Eden In Love shoppers made donations to Hospice Hawaii and in turn scored a great discount off their purchase. Through their generosity and giving spirit, we raised an amazing $1675 and were able to donate art supplies and gift certificates to Hospice Hawaii's Pediatric Care Program. This type of pediatric service is the first in the state of Hawaii and we were happy to support their comprehensive program. These inspiring children are now well stocked with finger paints, scrapbooking materials, watercolors, arts & crafts supplies and even a digital camera and printer for their Art Therapy projects! TWC Gives Back, May 2011
Following the tragic tsunami and earthquake that devastated Japan, The Wedding Cafe committed to doing as much as we could to give back. With the generous donations of our wedding vendors and the willing hearts of our brides, we held a wedding-fied silent auction raising over $17,000 in one hour! Together with the combined efforts of our Help Heal Japan promotions with our sister store, Eden In Love, we collectively donated over $28,000 to American Red Cross for Japan relief efforts!
Christmas at Kapiolani Hospital, Dec 2008
The Wedding Cafe team brought Christmas joy and cheer to the children hospitalized at Kapiolani hospital and their very deserving families. The Wedding Cafe organized a day of fun for the children, bringing in many wonderful talented professionals for a day of pampering and love. The children enjoyed getting their hair and make up done, festive arts and crafts projects, fun activities and delicious desserts!

The Wedding Cafe partnered with Kanu Hawaii, a non-profit organization committed to making Hawaii a more sustainable place for future generations, for Diva's Doing Good launch event. There was delicious food, a fabulous fashion show, great prize drawings, a silent auction loaded with the trendiest restaurant and boutique GC's, a DJ spinning the hottest tunes and live entertainment by Ben and Maila. Proceeds raised from this fundraising and awareness building event went to Kanu Hawaii to match their Omidyar Family Fund challenge grant. It was an inspiring event, with Hawaii's most dedicated entrepreneurs and socially responsible movers and shakers.
